It is indeed an honor to welcome you to our webpage in hopes that you are seeking a place, a body, where you can enjoy an experience and maintain a relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The vision for a church plant in Lawrenceville was received by my wife and I near the end of 2017. I believe this vision was birthed from one of my favorite passages in the Bible which I believe God used in a supernatural way to remind me that His call is irrevocable. 1 Timothy 1:15-16 says, “This saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them. 16 But I received mercy for this reason, so that in me, the worst of them, Christ Jesus might demonstrate His extraordinary patience as an example to those who would believe in Him for eternal life.”

Of course, for us to do as the Lord commanded, we would have to follow the Great Commission stated in Matthew 28:19, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

In January of 2020, our vision became a reality as we were able to purchase a historical building on the square in downtown Lawrenceville and The Covenant of Grace Church of God (COG²) was birthed. After much planning and modifying, our first service was held on March 5, 2020. Oh yes, the time was not on our side, but God was. After our third service all church services and public meetings were called to cease due to COVID. After a brief wait, we reopened our doors and resumed services on Thursdays and eventually moved to Sunday services as well. We are glad and feel honored to be a part of the body of Christ which is growing even as the trend for churches seems to be on the downside.

At COG² we believe you will find an encounter that proves our hearts, along with our doors, are open and non-judgmental to people from all walks of life regardless of social status or where they are on their spiritual walk. We know and believe the church that makes up this body will welcome you as the Apostle Paul admonished the church in Philippi (Philippians 2:1-4), “If then there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfill my joy by thinking the same way, having the same love, sharing the same feelings, focusing on one goal. 3 Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. 4 Everyone should look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”

Our sincere goal is to be the Biblical church where sound doctrine is taught, passionate worship is unveiled, constant prayer is our life, honest friendships are attained, compassion for the needy is present, and most of all a place where you can partner with us to carry on your own God-given ministry endeavors. So if you are brand new in your walk or have been a faithful follower of Christ for years, we believe you can find your church home among us and be a useful minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ right here in our midst. God bless you is our prayer. We hope to see you soon!
